I bought more accessories from Bodyline, they came in a shoe box again like usual. I have included the approx prices in £s as well as the cost in yen as the conversion rates vary. Also paypal seems to have its own conversion rate, it’s worth bearing that in mind when ordering as it always costs more than what google states. I paid for the items in yen and paid the standard 750 Yen air fee but I haven’t added that on to the prices.
Sheepy ACC1111– Sundries Hair Elastic Section
They were too cute to resist and they remind me of Shaun the Sheep so I had to buy them. They are hair bobbles but I intend taking them off that and turning in to different types of hair accessories. I got them in off white, sax, dark pink and pale pink. They are quite a thin plastic though, the cheaper plastic that’s quite brittle, in fact one of the white sheep has a broken off leg 😦 so if they dropped off on to the floor I think they could easily break. They come in packs of 2 and I think are pretty good really for the price.
Price: 100 Yen, roughly 65p
Other Sheep ACC1108 – Sundries Hair Elastic Section
More sheep but in a different design and too cute so I had to buy them. Again they are hair bobbles and made from similar plastic to the others. These were more expensive for some reason, probably not as good in value as the others.
Strawberry ACCESSORY699 – Sundries Hair Elastic Section
Single dark pink plastic strawberry on an elastic, has a small pink bead on it too. Bought because I have prints with strawberries on plus they make me think of summer. Made from a thicker plastic than the sheep, easily worth the price.
Ice Creams ACC1110 – Sundries Hair Elastic Section
I have sweet prints and with summer here too I thought ice cream hair bobbles seem like a good accessory choice. Again I intend altering most of them, I just don’t really wear hair bobbles. I bought them in yellow, sax and pink. The cone part is plastic with a foamy type ice cream top. I think the plastic feels a bit thicker than the sheep. The sax ones had come loose so they have a few marks on. Not bad for the price, though due to being quite short and fat it’s not super obvious what they are, especially at a distance.
Deer Necklace ACC995 – Sundries Necklace & Choker Section
Again, I fell for how cute he is! I’m such a sucker for cute stuff. This necklace has a long chain, no idea what the metal is, the deer is fairly heavy and is fully 3D so is nicely finished on both sides. He has little sparkly stones in his eyes and a larger one on a chain around his neck. There is also a shape (sort of like a star) stamped on to the top of his back leg but just on one side. I love him!
Price: 300 Yen, roughly £1.80
Carriage Necklace ACC1000 – Sundries Necklace & Choker Section
The chain on this necklace is thinner than on the deer one and the carriage part is really light. The horse is set with pale gold/orange stones and there’s also a small one in the middle of the carriage wheel. There’s also a small fabric bow tied around the chain at one side. It’s a super cute necklace.
Belt Buckle ACCESSORY884 – Sundries Buckle Section
Totally off topic for cute fashions but great for goth/punk/visual kei. I had to buy this because it looks awesome, I don’t wear belt buckles so again I actually intend adding it (somehow) to something else probably as part of a gothic outfit. This is pretty heavy and really nicely made and worth so much more than they are charging.
Price: 100 Yen, roughly 65p
Quick Sum Up:
So yeah overall I am happy with my purchases, it’s a shame my sheep is broken and to make it worse his leg is totally missing so I can’t even glue it on. Pretty sure this happened during the packing process at wherever Bodyline bought them from rather than Bodyline itself. The items aren’t of the best quality but then again they are really really cheap so its to be expected. You can bet if anyone here was to import the same stuff they would definitely charge much more for it so you can’t complain. In fact I see loads of necklaces made from the same stuff here on stalls priced at anything from £5 – £15 and I know they have only paid around £1-£2 for it. Personally I think Bodyline do a good a job of supplying things at a great price, I also think its really nice they send accessories in a box to protect them. It definitely leaves them out of pocket.
