I met up with the lovely Lincoln lolitas last weekend to attend a vintage fair at the Drill Hall called ‘Lincoln Does Vintage’. It had a great mixture of items and prices were reasonable too. Plus it was just £1 entry. It was organised by Britain Does Vintage who have won all sorts of awards so if they hold a fair near you its definately worth going along to.
I picked up 2 wool berets for £5 each (one pale pink the other black) and a simple blouse with a large fancy collar for just £6! It was really good fun.
I often find lots of vintage blouses that would work well for lolita, they are more fancy than a lot of highstreet ones so if you are ever searching for blouses and not really finding much I suggest a look in vintage shops, fairs, websites and ebay etc. Also berets are quite popular within lolita too, they look super adorable with little bows and things pinned on!
We then went for tea and munchies at a super cute art/craft tea room called Rock Paper Scissors. They do lovely cakes and its a really nice cosy cafe, though very small. You can buy all sorts of handmade cards and gift items plus they run craft classes and events too.
